我最喜歡的一個英文字，是「Be」。
「Be」的意思是：是怎樣就怎樣、該怎樣就怎樣、不扭曲、不勉強。
「Be」是我心目中的理想境界：一切的人、事，都處在最自然、最輕鬆、最不做作、最不費力的狀態。
我認識「Be」，要追溯到1970年。那年我三歲，什麼都不懂。那年五月，風光了十年的披頭四推出最後一張專輯：「Let It Be」。併肩作戰的好友反目成仇了，他們唱：
「 心碎過的人都同意，唯一的答案是
Let It Be
也許現在分手了，但有一天他們會重逢，唯一的答案是
Lt It Be 」
愛無能

我病了。
還在上班時，接受採訪或參加活動，別人給我的頭銜是「博偉電影公司行銷經理」、「MTV電視台總經理」。去年開始不上班了，苦了要介紹我的人。於是我當過「知名作家」、「行銷達人」、「職場專家」、或「史丹佛MBA」。最近常被叫到的，是「愛情教主」。
「教主」？楊呈琳是教主，我只是怪叔叔。我如果不是我，而是一個不認識我的人，看到我這樣一個快40歲、還沒結婚、沒幾次戀愛經驗的男人被稱為「愛情教主」，一定會想：別鬧了！

冰可樂與溫開水

不知道從什麼時候開始，我最喜歡的飲料從冰可樂，變成溫開水。
更明確地說，從冰可樂、黑咖啡、麻辣鍋，變成溫開水、熱牛奶、地瓜稀飯。
如果到咖啡廳，不能只點溫開水怎麼辦？那就來杯「無咖啡因」的咖啡吧。「要不要甜點」？我搖頭笑笑，好像服務生問的是：「要不要出軌？」
